I also like that their are game play systems that punish the player for trying to optimize too much. It is possible to do world conquest in CK2, but the best way to do that is to keep your vassals divided and small. That also increases the amount of micromanaging the player has to do exponentially. It's a cool

It's was pretty great. And that kind of conflict happens all the time organically due to the vagaries of inheritance law. I didn't lose because you only lose if you don't have any titles or if you die without a heir of your dynasty. In that particular case, I had a 1 year old daughter who became queen.

Not a bad choice. I think I saw it for $5 on stream.

I've never played a game that took me so long to feel that I had a basic understanding of the systems.

All of the games you mentioned take forever. Crusader Kings 2 would likely be my desert island game (especially with the expansion) as I doubt it's even possible to exhaust it.

You chose wisely.

I plan on doing lot of main story in the Witcher just so I'll be ready for Heavensward next weekend.

Baldur's Gate 2 had the worst evil options. The rewards for playing as good was a ton of extra experience (so many quests only had good outcomes that paid XP), and at good reputation you could basically get half off items at merchants.

Crusader Kings 2 is the best for creating your own stories. Something about that game leads to the best emergent stories.

A Japanese take on fighting the Nazis as Belgium with weird occult stuff.

I am hoping to pick up Cities: Skyline and Endless Legend.

And the more elaborate side quests are incredible. The Skiellege ones in particular are just so great.

Join Goblin, and I could help ya.

You may have seen the female dwarves. In the Witcher 3, they note that the females have beards as well.

I finished book 5 of the expanse this week on audiobook. Somehow, this series is getting even better. Such a perfect, pop space opera beach read.

U mad, bro?

And at least as many sons given to the walkers beyond the wall.

It's so good. And a great idea to have the POVs be from previously established characters.

I have high hopes for The Expanse.
