So this gets a bit weird... the previous 3 series used the B58B30 engine, that came with a manual - the new version has the B58M30 and that doesn’t come with a manual on any BMW, so far at least.

Yeah I’ve seen those rumors... I think it’ll be the S58 version, since the M3 will also come with a manual. I guess you won’t have to tune it and just get your 500WHP from factory. If that’s the case it’ll end up costing like $70k, I guess that’s about what the Mk4 cost when it was new.
The M2 is pretty cool. Umm... the M340ispowerbimmermobilenotreallyanm seems like a good all around sedan, if you don’t care about money.

Enjoy you personal Sagaris revival!
I will own a Sagaris one day.
I can’t believe how clueless those guys are sometimes... or most times I guess :/
Well Land Rover sure didn't with the new Defender... they went too soft.
Seems like the logical move there... one up Ford in HP while keeping it relatively sane.
It should cost what stock s2ks are going for, minus new fenders and rear quarter panel repair price... no way more than a handful of people are willing to drive that thing. Even fewer are willing to pay top dollar for the pleasure.
Thanks CCP, will you set up a bureau to hand out “legitimate reason” tokens to people going outside? Care to precalculate the path they should take?
Ummm... I kind of like everything except that grille. The grille is bad enough to ruin everything else though and there’s no way to change it :/ I like some silly-looking cars, but I wouldn’t want to drive that.
Paddle response is still better with a good dual clutch, but most importantly it doesn’t spend any time with an open torque converter - even the ZF8 sometimes does, and you feel it. I get in a cheaper car, but these $60,000 “sports” sedans should really have a DCT.
I don’t know the exact weight or weight balance... but it’s a modern FWD based TT V6 sedan that shares some basic architecture with the Accord. It won’t magically transform into an e46 M3 CSL :/ it’ll be between 3500 and 3800 lbs with 57-60% of the weight over the front axle - and I’m being generous there. I’m sure…
This car is going to drive better than any of its European competitors.
I always liked these GCs... but holy shit are people really paying those prices for them O_o that’s insane.
Right... I can see 500 lb-ft
Ok boomer.
Nah... manual only is kinda stupid for a luxury sedan, it’ll kill sales. You’re right about being smart with manuals. GM knows there’s an enthusiast market out there, so make manuals at a slight loss to cater to them and maybe they’ll buy more than one car from the brand.
