What you have to understand about Conservatism is at its core, it is about preserving an in-group protected by the law but not bound by it, and an out-group bound by the law but not protected by it.

I don’t get all the strum und drang over the proposed Trump scheme. It’s not actively offensive, it’s vaguely near national colors, it kind of looks like what a movie might do for Air Force One if it wasn’t especially well researched.

It might differ state by state but it’s quite common here in Illinois to get a new car registered at the dealership when you buy it, unless you are transferring your plates to the new car (in which case they’ll also handle sending out that paperwork). Shit a lot of places will actually have the plates ready to go on…

I think people are just too greedy with their dogs, If you can’t spend most of the day around them, you shouldn’t have them imo. If you don’t want to socialize them with other dogs and other people, you shouldn’t have one.

At the end there, when she was walking towards the cops and they were making motions to “stop” and “turn around” and she was kind of ignoring them and gesturing towards the curb, I’d like to imagine she was saying “Why don’t I just go over here by the curb and we can all do this arrest more comfortably in the shade?”

The fact that vaccinated people are getting sick is sadly fodder for the anti-vax crowd to claim the vaccine doesn’t work. They are completely ignoring the reduction in hospitalization/death that the vaccine is scientifically showing, while claiming they “follow the science” as they refuse to mask up or get vaccinated.
