And people are whining about “the economy.”

I’m shocked, shocked I say, that a company would put cost cutting and profits over safety. But by all means, let's cut more regulations.

I have to disagree that Americans like to drive cars. Americans have increasingly purchased huge SUVs and crossovers and, from what I've seen, would love to have those tanks drive themselves so they can fiddle with their phones instead of paying attention to the roads. Americans like to own cars, they do not like the

Oh goodie, another f***ing SUV.

All very true. Our Robbie the Roomba gets a spa day once a week where he gets a thorough cleaning. Even with the maintenance it's still better than doing the vacuuming myself. Plus, if the Roomba is any indication, we have nothing to fear from a robot uprising. Just toss a bath mat in front of the approaching robot

I have historically swapped cats every three or four years, mostly because I get bored. But with automakers focusing on crossovers and SUVs, plus this subscription garbage, maybe I'll keep my current A5 SB indefinitely.

It looks a lot less awful than it used to. Give me RWD or AWD options and I might actually buy one.

The data is now very clear that the overwhelming majority of covid infections, hospitalizations, & deaths are in people who have received the shots

My wife and I are still on a DVD-by-mail plan. Between that and the local library we get to watch a pretty decent collection of movies. I do have access to their streaming service, but generally struggle to find movies I actually want to watch. Their selection of TV series is pretty decent (binging The Good Place

I’m of the theory that Musk has always been deranged. We just didn’t notice it until Trump and a bunch of his followers were booted from Twitter.

But I thought Dipshit Donnie was the one who would run towards the shooting.

Option #4: Make it harder to get a driver’s license and retest older drivers every few years.

Any and all crossovers, SUVs, and pickup trucks. Most are being driven because the owner wants to be “high up so I can see.” Yeah, but you’re blocking everyone else’s view, asshole. Your family of three or four can get by quite well with a sedan or station wagon, thank you very much.

I wonder how many of the “I won’t buy it because it doesn’t have a manual” crowd will actually pony up the cash to get one now. I’m betting not very many.

Magnets won’t stick to the SS front of our refrigerator but they do stick to the sides.

It’s gotten worse since their grand orange poohbah decided that every time he did or said something stupid and got called out on it he was being treated “unfairly.” They’ve all just adopted his speaking points.

In my youth I was driving my 72 Dodge Chrger in the winter when the throttle stuck wide open.  I was able to brake to a stop, apply the parking brake, pop the hood, and manually disengage the throttle. Perhaps people need to better understand their expensive toys.
