2 things. 1) people are borrowing larger amounts.... look at the average monthly payment, and the average loan duration these days....
I don’t think anyone is saying loans are bad. You are absolutely right there is a relationship between loan and creditworthiness. But when people take out massive loans for depreciating assets, it can become a problem when the money stops flowing.
A far better way (if you go to college) is to just fill out a couple of the millions of credit card offers you will be sent and keep them paid off. I’ve never had a car loan or made over 45,000 in a year and my credit score has been over 800 since the 1990's.
I’ve never had a car loan and my credit is great. Anybody can get a credit card. If we’re talking strictly from a financial perspective, bluntly buying a car, period, is a bad idea, since it’s a negative asset, and buying one just to build your credit history is a worse idea. If you need a car, get one, but treat it…
Wouldn’t a credit card with a limit be better for building credit than a car loan?
That’s false. There is a process called manual underwriting, where people with absolutely no credit score can get a mortgage at just as good of a rate as someone with 800+. They look at the borrower’s full financial picture and underwrite based on that. It’s great for people who just haven’t had any debt or credit…
What exactly is a “hairpin 90"? Sounds like a very useless hairpin if it’s a 90 degree angle.

What's the problem here? They didn't have stock available for everyone, so they chose a method that rewarded their customers and probably also cut down on scalping. They probably got more consoles in the hands of gamers who actually wanted them than went to people who just want to flip them.
You shouldn’t need the /s. It’s incredibly obvious. And yet...
Looking at the responses, I suppose I did. But I genuinely didn’t think it’d be necessary.
Look, if the cop told the kid to ‘Freeze’, and he was holding ‘anti-freeze’, how is that not blatant failure to comply? Easy grounds for opening fire.
I like the British model. Deliver a complete story. Film the number of episodes it takes to tell it. If it’s popular and the writers can come up with something else you get a second series. If not you at least have a complete story that can fill a rainy afternoon. You don’t have 10 episodes of filler that exist solely…
“You also, chose to conveniently ignore the part where the officer was said to have pepper sprayed the man and his family without cause, direction, or explanation.” Said the man who fled an officer and failed to ensure his family was safely in his own vehicle. Forgive me if I take his side lightly. Yes his child…
Um, nicotine addicts don’t give a shit about anything except their next smoke.
A lot of smokers are pretty deadened to the smell and think if they open the windows or spray some air freshner that it will go away.
It is shitty, but not surprising in the least.
