You should see what people think about posting on anonymous online blogs, to total strangers, about expensive things which rapidly depreciate— most of which few of us can afford without taking on debt...and even worse, most of us couldn’t even drive to their potential, either due to lack of skill or environment.

You’re still trying to tow a multi-ton vehicle that has four functional tires (greater contact patch), and is using that traction advantage to brake.

More likely, they don’t want to be on the hook for liability and so they go conservative on the maintenance. Without specialized builds for different areas and driving styles, it’s much easier and cost-effective to fit all with one size (recommendation). A frequent oil change is cheap insurance.
