You are insane. Seriously, despite all logic you are angry that a guy got a great deal and isn’t planning to make it a show car. What is wrong with you?

Show me a 50,000 mile NA Miata for under $5,000. I dare you.

Do you not consider the AMG GT a sports car?

Why do I feel special because Stef just talked shit about my car?

I like the Cayman as much as the next person, but it isn’t nearly as practical (no back seats, smaller trunk). I don’t really see that interior as being significantly “better” either. I guess if you hate round buttons or something. Look, I am not defending the 996 interiors as some sort of paragon of design, I just

Holy shit that is amazing. I am in the process of resurrecting a 240z and although I know it will never look that good, can you give some details on the build? What color is that and how much did the boy prep cost?  More pictures?

Well, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest, I think it looks fine. Show me another practical, fun to drive, affordable, semi-exotic with a better interior. If the cars were still $80k I would agree with you, but if you are buying or disqualifying a Porsche based on its interior, then you should be looking at other

996 owner here. I never understand the hate. The interior is fine and very much comparable to any car of the era. I also owned a 72 912 and a 69 911. Porsche interiors were always forgettable until the 997.2.

Although I sold my ‘69 911 WAY to early (only made $2,000 on it, thought I was a genius) My 996 4s 6spd is holding its value after 4 years. Nothing like owning a “free” car.

Ding Ding Ding. There are several warehouses in San Marino area that I am aware of that store nothing buy high end classic cars for Chinese investors looking to hide money due to the crackdown on corruption in China. I have no idea what, if anything, happens if that market decides to liquidate.

This is exactly what “Rally Road” does, but they store the cars.

Well, I don’t claim to be anything. However, I think a lot of people are scoffing at this because we have some experience with lasers. I regularly used a Universal 100w industrial laser for a while as well as a YAG laser and I have assembled my own from Bangood components. The primary issue here is claims they are

I tried borrow $25,000 from my Dad to buy a decent “Ferrari” Dino in 2001. He laughed at me. Every 3 years or so I forward him that email and the current prices on ebay (~$95,000 - $150,000). But as you pointed out, it could have gone the other way and I was in college and had no money.

Well, you are right that it is impossible to predict the future, but number of cars that can triple in 20 years (not just increase) is pretty dang small. Its pretty much limited to super-exotics. Not even 1998 911s have tripled in price.

All the cars that increase sharply were deeply desired during lifetime. Alfa was selling single digit numbers of these per month. I don’t expect these to fall a lot in value, but they won’t go up any more than a Cayman will.

Look, I agree that studios are not super inclusive, but Korg didn’t get a love interest either. He had more screen time and more lines. I don’t think its fair to say every element you would like to see should get crammed into a movie, otherwise, its “bullshit”. Especially when her sexuality isn’t super relevant. She

Some moron do-gooder smashed in my friends window on his Audi A8 when he left his dog inside to pick something up at the post office. He didn’t know it has a solar fan that kept the interior the same temperature as the exterior.

Thats exactly my point. He was suggesting that people only want them for status. Safety and reliability were the driving factors for my decision.

I am talking about accidentally leaving them in the car, not intentionally. I promise you that 100% of the other people that DID leave them in the car accidentally would have said the exact same thing (I would NEVER FORGET them!!!) until the day they did. Seriously, go read some articles about it.

I am not really buying your theory. Myself, and lots of people I know are happy to buy used luxury cars at a discount. I am much happier with my LS460 (purchased used) than I would have been with a new Camry. No one buys a Lexus to “show off” and other peoples opinions don’t interest me.
