This is pretty much my opinion for any tool except a cordless drill. Those things work and I just get 2-3 batteries so I never run out. I have cordless Circular saws, recip saws, etc and they all “kinda” work, but you need a corded version first.

Don’t use hotspot? Well that makes sense, my phone can already be a hotspot, and given that many drivers are alone in their cars, it pretty much falls to families on road trips that would even want this functionality.

Not really sure what your point is here. I am not saying CarMax is a great deal. Its well known that they will pay less/charge more than other methods. But I am only pointin g out that getting a better deal when you buy a car is a totally different animal and not comparable to a walk-away price.

That dealership paid more than the car was worth in order to make the transaction happen. If the KBB was $14k (and KBB is usually wrong) then how is the Subaru dealer going to make money on that deal? They are not. Your “deal” came out of the price of the STI. I am having a hard time following your logic. Are you suggesting that investing the $45k, and waiting the 13 years it would take for the principal to reach the point where it could make the ~$500 payment is the only justifiable path?

Your not wrong, but to what end? Should he go live in a tent? You can survive on beans and frozen vegtables for decades. We all have to strike a balance.

I don’t follow the logic on this one. Tesla has already proven the market for high-end electric vehicles. The i8 seems to be doing well too. The Ferrari California/599 proved there is a strong market for GT cars. The Asterion would have slotted above those and sold like hotcakes regardless of which hybrid drivetrain

My 4 -banger 2wd S-10 has helped me renovate two houses to the studs and will be moving drywall this weekend. Last weekend it was moving bits for my 911. It has towed my boat, pulled my ‘41 Chevy (Don’t recommend this, but it can be done). Next year it will be my main tool for planting 500 grape vines.

I dont know, I would not say it “isn’t quite as nice”. The interiors are exactly the same as the base model except it has some wood trim and a leather dash/console. It is a pretty far cry from a 5 series.
