Yes, I understand that. I was just adding to the text on the decal.
I probably should have done the same, but I just had to get all of those ultimate weapons. I used a pen and paper to keep a tally of lightning bolts dodged, haha. What a chore.
“Ich bin’s: Bavario!”
And don't forget the lightning bolts! :(
I finally started playing Dragon Quest XI on Switch a little over a week ago, so I’m keepin’ at it. I’m enjoying the straightforwardness so far. And that Toriyama art direction always delights me. I think it’s the kind of JRPG I need for a little while.
I’m sad to see you go, Heather; Kotaku is poorer for all of the voices it continues to lose. Good luck with your new opportunity!
She is indeed. And Ashly Burch does a fantastic job voicing her.
Aw, damn. I had a feeling that you’d be leaving soon, too. It’s such a shame, but I can certainly understand your reasons as you and others have presented them. It’s just not the same around here with all of my favorite folks leaving, but I’m comforted by knowing you still host the new podcast.
Fellow Hsu, Boyer, et al. EGM reader here. Kotaku really was an excellent next home after that publication petered out. I feel fortunate to have just happened to find both outlets as my sources of video game news and community. Here’s hoping that similar spirit and hard work live on!
I would also like to know if there are any other places with an atmosphere and personality that is even somewhat similar to Kotaku.
Thank you for your work and your presence in this field, Jason! And thanks again for approving me as a Kotaku commenter one holiday season several years ago. :) I’m sad to see you go, especially with the state of these sites being what they are, but I’m glad you stuck around as long as you did.
“We need brain."
I never managed to play The Last Story and I keep feeling like I missed out, so I share your hopes for a remaster.
Why do you keep posting your Barf Bags to the main Jez site instead of The Slot?
I started replaying FF7 for the first time in a long time earlier this winter, and it’s really been eye-opening for me. I’m delighted to realize how much I still enjoy the game, and how through the lens of the intervening time and experiences it feels like I’m experiencing it anew.
Yes, but I’m guessing that “Aps” was one of many, many mistranslations in the original.
Others pointed out that there was something off or uneasy about the figurines as those steps were skipped.
I wonder if the original larger design is easier on old hands.
