That may be, but if this becomes more of a trend for smaller, less restricted projects, then maybe we would also see a shift in what publishers deem to be marketable. That, in turn, might prompt publishers to give developers freer reign on their big AAA games. That might be a bit optimistic, but you never know.
Isn't that kind of exciting? I'm eager to see how this whole project will affect the industry once it is complete.
