1. Kudos to the cinematographer for keeping it just tight enough on Lashana Lynch’s face that it would be difficult to see the Binary marks at first. Bringing Kelsey Grammer back was just wonderful as well.

Dialogue implies back-and-forth between the speakers. This is literally the opposite of that. The entire season is written and produced before the general public gets to speak.

Ever since I read LA Confidential back in the day I’ve favoured “shitbird” myself. Not gendered, not attacking anyone for disability or sexuality or the like, and yet fabulously insulting, people really don’t like it.

Pussy, the insult, comes from the word pusillanimous, which means showing a lack of courage or determination. You’re not calling them a vagina, you’re calling them a coward.

According to both sources, McCarthy told Swalwell, “If you ever say something like that to me again, I’m gonna kick the shit out of you.” There was some back-and-forth between the two, the witnesses said, leading up to McCarthy telling the Democrat, “Call me a pussy again and I’ll kick your ass.”

This show totally misses the mark on Wes Anderson. There are way too many women and people of color in it.

Luckily, due to the film’s runaway success, it should be fairly simple to divert a paltry $20m of the profits and pay all the animators a $10,000 project bonus. It’s not an excuse for poor labor practices, but at least we can all agree that workers deserve to see some of the fruits of their labor, right?
