For a lot of people, most disappointing IS worst.

I believe data miners found stuff for Matt Horner (I assume an air-focused terran) and Stukov (probably an infested unit focused hero). And yeah, I'd like to see Alarak added. He would be a ton of fun.
I liked how different enemies had different stagger thresholds, so you would prioritize them based on how dangerous they were and how easy they were to stagger and then nuke. I feel like most encounters required some thought along these lines, but most of them were best served by using paradigms consisting of…
I'll probably be playing more Bloodborne. I've been working my way through the DLC for the 2nd time with my original character, who is in NG+3, and have been trying out a lot of the new weapons. The final boss of the DLC gave me a little trouble, but only took me like 10 tries or so, surprisingly. All I really have…
The Beasthunter Saif is pretty damn awesome. It works a lot like the Saw Cleaver but has a faster R1 combo, and the R1 combo starts with a little dash forward to close distances. The extended version is slow and has a really wide arc too, which is good for taking out mobs of weaker enemies. Rakuyo is also very good,…
Turn-based combat is nice when there's actual thought involved in your actions, but most of the JRPGs that use it tend to have very shallow combat systems, so it feels a bit extraneous when you can just be mashing X. This is kind of what made the FFXIII combat good; it took a sort of meta game approach to the Final…
Another higher-energy winter track is Phendrana Depths also from Metroid Prime.
They actually released patched versions of Metroid Prime for the Gamecube that also fixed a lot of the cool speedrun glitches. I think my disc is actually a US 0-00 disc (original version), so if I wanted to I could get space jump first and rapid fire the hell out of missiles.
Bloodborne also seemed to have done a lot in making the trek back to practically anywhere in the game less of a hassle. There's shortcuts all over the damn place, particularly leading toward bosses. There's really only one part of the game I feel still involves a long trek to get back to where you died (Forbidden…
There's also a trick that a lot of players knew about that let you get 99 lives by bouncing on the same shell a bunch of times.
Prince of Persia 2008 is a really underrated game. There is something to be said about the balance between instant restart and lose all your progress though. It gets a little comical when Elika just runs in to save you after taking near-mortal damage every single time, but it does balance it out a bit by making the…
I think I listed all of the 2015 TV I actually saw in 2015. They're loosely ordered worst to best (though I would say none of them are bad, except for most of True Detective season 2):
Sadly they nerfed Squadsight a bit in EW, since you can't get crits anymore from Squadsight range. Still doesn't make me want to pick the other option, though.
Fez then Transistor.
Here's my arbitrary list:
Time to pick up Rebirth and do it all over again!
I'd say a good benchmark for DLC entry is getting a +10 weapon and grabbing the three good (physical) blood gems in Mergo's Loft. I still don't feel like arcane is worth it over physical, since all the hunter's tools are more or less worthless except in PvP.
Agree on all counts. Maybe I finally understand how a lot of people feel about the Oscars, for instance.
The best part is when you go for the Genocide ending, the game specifically calls out anyone who might just be watching along.
And yet it didn't win anything at the Game Awards (neither did Bloodborne, bafflingly).
