Liverpool is my English club, Barcelona is my Spanish club

There is no biological point in washing your chicken.  None.  It’s indisputable.  Cooking is what removes germs, not washing it.

Fuck ‘em.  Kids like this grow up to be shitty people because they think the world should always cater to them.

Jax is one of the best recurring trainwrecks ever on TV.

The MCU also doesn’t ask a lot from you except time.  The movies are all easy to grasp, there’s no crazy sub-levels of nerdery here.  It’d be ridiculous to ask Endgame to think about non-fans.  I mean, if you saw only about 5-6 movies and read 1-2 paragraphs, you’d have enough to go on.

It’s great to see favorite heroic characters doing heroic things, but not in GoT. The larger subversion of the show is that “heroic” is what gets you killed because it’s naive.

I don’t need HBO for that.  I can get that shit on Netflix, basic cable, etc.

So like what, we’re gonna get movies with Cap eating cereal and Thor returning a sweater with a gift receipt?

There are about 111 million people 18-45 in America. They are more likely to be Democratic voters, though not as much as blue voters might think. The younger portion of this target (18-34) don’t fucking vote - it’s about a 40% turnout for a presidential election. So let’s say 45 million of these people vote. And they

Baseball’s looking more like a clown sport, bro.

I don’t hate Bradley Cooper, but he’s trying WAY too hard to be taken VERY SERIOUSLY. I’ve heard he’s a jerk, which, whatever, but what’s more annoying is that he thinks this movie makes him an intellectual auteur.

This article is massively important to that sub-section of fans who had that one friend whose dad had a snooker table in their basement.

The showrunners basically took the Ben Shapiro route - everything legitimate the viewers argued in truly good faith (how the show was setup in the trailers, all the plot points that had huge points of emphasis, all the clues, etc.) was argued in bad faith by the showrunners as “you just don’t get it” and “it’s not

Why does Pogba get a pass? The only top 6 team where he has either a goal and/or assist is an assist against Spurs. Every other attacking stat he’s collected is agains the likes of Brighton and Fulham. And half his goals are penalties. He’s scored no freekicks, and he just doesn’t seem to be able to consistently

How do you like your scotch?

They exist, they’re terrible, and it’s the reason Uber and Lyft still exist.  Taxi companies are in no way incentivized to compete because they don’t have to.

No, I fucking do not. Innovation is only innovative when it’s SMART and well thought-out. Steve Jobs didn’t just say “hey let’s invent some sort of phone with a touchscreen.” He realized there was a NEED, had an idea, worked with people to come up with a feasible plan, and then executed in rigorous, meticulous ways.

You also forgot about being with family (which isn’t all vacations but it’s plenty of them). That is legitimately stressful for so many people.

That’s what I do.  I just ask “what’s the best thing you ate?”  That’s usually easier for people to remember, it’s a much shorter story, and there’s no pressure for them to dress it up.  It could have been a fancy meal, regular meal, street food meal, whatever.  Then, you’re done and don’t have to talk about it.

David Brooks is at heart, the guy who wears wraparound Oakleys and says things like “Look, Trump’s not ALL bad” and thinks maybe there’s SOME credence to race-based “science”. In his heart, he’s barbecuing shitty Walmart burgers on the grill on Saturdays, drinking a bud light, and enjoying time in his backyard with
