VR isn’t being built by gamers, or tech people, or people who understand how technology improves and entertains - it’s being built by bean counters as an ad-serving and subscription-based platform. They’re trying to normalize a behavior before giving people a reason to adopt it, whereas the iPhone normalized

That’s cool for Andor...I guess?  Rogue One has a very clear endpoint - it’s such a bummer that the best show (and arguably overall property) in Star Wars culminates before the Battle of Yavin.  Where’s this juice for the future stuff?

Red Dragon was ok, I also liked Money Talks (which is basically an R-rated spiritual prequel for Rush Hour).  But yeah not sure there’s any Ratner-heads out there, even most of his music video work was more Tier 2 level stuff.

It’s a great show that’s highly watchable for acting, sets, pacing, plot, etc. - but ultimately the story is kinda moot because it all eventually converges into a single point that we already know.

Everyone’s hand-wringing at “Ugh they don’t talk about how the conflict came to be, the ‘why’ behind everything, telllllll meeeeeeeeeee” feels like all the fake consternation at Oppenheimer not saying “Atomic weapons are bad and killing Japanese civilians was bad.  IT WAS BAD OK!?!?!?!?”

Do you need a fictional film to spell out those things for you?  Movies aren’t here to educate you or the general public.

The hardest suspension of disbelief is the Navy and the Air Force. All they’d have to do is setup a beacon-type device to emit sound to attract them to remote locations and just keep raining JDAMs/Tomahawks/MOABs on them with...(gestures at all the insane flying weaponry those branches have.)

You can bring Thanos back if you’ve established an entirely new arc that has fans engaged and wanting more - something that would make them see Thanos and go “oh wow, that’s cool!”

This title might as well be “the things you liked from that Star Wars show!”

I’d just be happy with less Ryan Reynolds. I don’t think he’s a bad guy, clearly he’s smart and hard-working, but his schtick has gotten beyond grating at this point. The smug self-satisfaction “God I’m so much funnier and smarter than everyone in this room” thing just feels...stale.

Insurance companies would be able to charge you higher premiums or deny coverage because your genes indicated a pre-existing condition.

The more you fly, the more you will realize outside of United, Delta or AA, your chance of reaching your destination after a bit of a hiccup drops off dramatically. If something goes wrong with Jetblue or Southwest, good luck getting home.

That one shot alone of Zegler is telling - she’s gorgeous and glammed up while everyone else is covered in dirt.

Normally I would have given a timeframe but it’s no longer about time, it’s about the expectation that these HAVE to happen.

Money didn’t corrupt him. Money emboldened him. This is who he always was.

Hold up - do you mean the LEGENDARY first Cap movie, starring the son of JD Salinger? And Ned Beatty?

Wow the Hamas apologists are out in full force here.

Good ol’ victim blaming.  “If the Israelis didn’t want to be murdered, they shouldn’t have been wearing those Jewish/Israeli outfits.”

It is fucking WILD to be an OG Xbox fan and see it all come to this. Microsoft was never some benevolent entity but they took a huge risk launching the Xbox and the first two generations of that console are historic. I’ll totally accept the PS2 is still the GOAT but man Xbox had some good shit going on back in the day.
