Mine was fun... Early September, 2005, I am on the outskirts of New Orleans, and my old Civic Si had just been rescued from underneath a fallen oak tree. It won't start, and the nearest car parts (not even gas stations were open) are in Baton Rouge.

Oh and the hubcaps and painted rims on this one are fantastic. Love the matching colors.
@Amscram: Looks like a 62 with that grille.
@A strolling player: That Mercedes, the gray/silver one with all the chrome in really good shape? It's there pretty much every day, I usually see it on my way home. You can probably catch it if you try.
The multicolored chevy does move. I live a couple of blocks from that spot, and it moves every couple of weeks or so. (I've actually been wondering who owns it, because we have one of the same year and body style, with more rust...)
@B - Louisiana primary is this coming Saturday.
@JayP71: Oh, don't do that to the poor girl, it'll make her hate cars.
Currently trying to talk myself out of an adorable tiny little Triumph Spitfire for $400. Or an MGB with no engine currently mounted (but it seems to include one?)
Also, any points for missing panels and rust? I saw a Porsche 356 parked on the street the other day which was driven to hell with rusty patches on it. So cool.
95 points on the project truck - an early 60s chevy pickup, and we don't even know how many horsepower it has yet. (It's engine allegedly had 165hp when new, but appears to have been rebuilt by a previous owner.)
@Tanshanomi: When we were in college one of my friends launched a Tempo over a snowbank and got airborne in order to avoid a deer, into the dorm parking lot. Tore his oil pan and effectively killed the car.
@Al Navarro: Excellent! Sorry that I misinterpreted that.
@Al Navarro: Your girls are not a lost cause. My dad rebuilt a 60s mustang when I was between those ages, and it infected me with cars. Get them to hold flashlights and find wrenches and screwdrivers until they're old enough to get a project for their own...
Manual. Not going back, ever. I miss the 5-speed in the 92 si I sold last year. It was funny going to buy my current civic from a dealer in that. The salesman starts to ask if I can drive a stick (they assume girls can't, the losers...) and goes no, wait, they didn't make that in an auto did they.
Wow, that car changed quickly. There's a mid-60s one near me which is small and a little more boxy. Painted flat black and has a little chrome on it, but nothing like this one and those taillights.
I really miss my '92 Civic Si. Rollerskate with a vtec on it, and a nicely geared transmission.
@Paul Y: My god, someone misses Rochester? I couldn't wait to get out of there. Driving back south for Christmas I used to take the PA-WV route, one hundred miles longer, just to avoid Ohio and get higher speed limits.
That car, it does not look too bad as flood cars go. I live in Katrina-land, and usually they look like hell.
This is hard one, I hate being driven around, and I hate big cars...
Yes, more color. I'm in love with the crazy lotus colors as well, we've got an orange and a yellow in town, and there's this cherry red lambo around too. And a girl down the street who drives an orange fiat as her daily driver.
