@Mad_Science: Our '62 has an alternator due to an engine swap, but it did come with a generator, so says the literature. (the c-10, but I think you know that already.)

@87CapriceEstate: The beds on these old trucks were wooden boards. If there's metal in it, it's been added later - ours has a piece of sheet metal in it.
@grantman321: There is one of those monstrosities, in pearl orange, near my house. It is down the street from a pair of mercury/edsel comets, and around the corner from a white E-type and a whale-tail 911.
@icntdrv:
This is what happens when a falcon ranchero owner goes insane collecting hood ornaments and horns.
@BRDHNTR: Extraordinaire: there are more of us out there than you think. The other five chick commenters on jalop, for example. Also all the girls I know with alfa romeos. (I went boring for my current ride, a 10 year old base model 323i.)
@AlienProbe: Jezebel scares me, but having seen Studs and Spurs in person, complete with crowd of jeering women, it is funny as hell.
@BRDHNTR: Extraordinaire: Aside from the fact that it has paddle shifting which I do not yet know how to use, (I would rather the six speed), I would drive it if you gave it to me. Then again as a girl I routinely buy pink stuff to keep guys from stealing it.
@MushyHeirloom: I see one pretty much every day; it lives on the street along my drive to work with its' friend, a 70s alfa spyder.
Eight. I think that's the product of way too much time on wikipedia.
@theeastbaykid: I would call that an hour and fifteen from the city. 45 from the airport. Avondale is a lot closer.
@mytdawg: That tiny 9" steering wheel. We found one of those on our '62 C-10. The truck, it is a pain in the ass to parallel park even with a normal giant wheel.
@FP - missing Pete and the SHOwagon: my 2002 civic has roll-down windows, and a manual with no tach. It does have a/c though, this is new orleans. The truck has vent glass and a vinyl bench seat and it is hot as hell.
What about the Simca Vedette with the Rush-Matic transmission?
@Murilee Martin: I was in a Mardi Gras parade a couple years ago, and we had a sixties MGB following our float for about a third of the parade... then it did drop out.
@Murilee Martin: Impressive. I did 1400 miles in a loaded down 92 si years ago and only managed 36 with the a/c on. On the other hand I'd only been driving manual for about a month at that point.
