To Pimp a Butterfly is my #1, so I can’t argue too much with #3.

Album of the year - some of the best work I’ve heard from one of my favorite producers and one of my favorite rappers.

With Ben Folds, too!

My favorite “dumb shit” moment of the show, back from the Season 2 finale:

My favorite beat on the album, too

I hear you (like I said, I’m a fan of the album.) I looked it up, and there are technically two definitions:

Erik, thanks to you and the other writers at AV Club for championing this show from day 1. It made my viewing experience even more enjoyable, especially considering all the tangents to explore on this show.

I said this during the FX voiceover before the finale started...it’s Pavlovian at this point.

Highlight of the series, and likely all of TV for this year.

Paige, by far, has the hardest road immediately ahead. Philip and Elizabeth have some support still in Russia, Henry has Stan (a sad but touching conclusion to their friendship throughout the series), but Paige needs to recreate her entire life.

Considering the way in which he said FAREWELL TO HIS OWN SON, I’ll go with positive intentions from Philip toward Stan

I’m not a U2 fan, and yet agree that it was a perfect song choice.

Freddie Gibbs nailed this with You Only Live Twice - 30 minutes, all awesome tracks

This album is sick...but why isn’t it considered an EP? It’s 21 minutes long!

Yes! Short-hair version of every band gets included.

Margo Martindale Drunk History episode, please

This struck me as very on-brand from Future of the Left

Also, take your pick of any of Kendrick Lamar’s live performances of the To Pimp A Butterfly / Untitled Unmastered songs on the various late-night shows

Nirvana’s MTV music awards performance of “Lithium” in ‘92...

I’ve had this album in rotation at least a few times a week for the past month - easy Top 10 album of the year for me.
