Saw this promo during an ad break on AMC and I thought it must be a reality program rather than a drama.
Poor presentation of concept, to be sure.

You know how you know I love my girlfriend?
I watch this stupid fucking show with her and her mother and I try not to complain.
They don't watch Fear the Walking Dead, so I am getting a well-deserved break over the summer. This is absolutely the most incompetent season finale I've ever seen.

Whoah, Black Nanny!
Bam ba lam!

I'll confess that there are shows I watch watch and shows I half-watch while doing other things, and this is the latter. Gave the finale my full attention and was not disappointed. But can somebody tell me if the Inquisitors used their lightsabers as fucking helicopter blades before? Because I don't remember it and

It went full soap opera. You never go full soap opera.

Re: Feminism, I don't think it got mentioned in last week's review but it was so telling how when Kim was making all those calls everybody wanted to take her out but no one wanted to help her out. It was only when she got to talk to another woman that she got treated like a human being. Kim is absolutely my favorite

I got into UFC through my girlfriend and her brother and I deeply identify with the jokes in that MMA scene. Yeah, it's morally reprehensible… but it's so much fun.

That's me, man. I love Breaking Bad but I don't know it backwards and forwards enough to recognize half of the stuff, let alone be annoyed by it XD

The structurally experimental nature of this show is its biggest selling point imo.
"Yeah, it's a procedural- but it's genuinely fun and witty! And every episode is a goddamn roller coaster ride of plot progression!"

Aside from the Hannibal alum guest star, this whole episode reminded me of Bryan Fuller's work, especially the bright & sunny way the first half was presented (along with epicurean passion and macabre glee). It was like an episode of Pushing Daisies.

Well this episode was just a pile of dumb.

We don't generally talk about BB & BCS as "period pieces", mostly because all of the details feel so natural in the setting, but all the stuff about the TV spots in this episode awakened a little nostalgia in me. Maybe I'm showing my embarrassingly young age, but nothing says "going to school in the aughts" like

I hope the movie fanboyism of Kim & Jimmy gets brought up more often. It always makes a character feel more real to me when they have a deep identification with pop culture and I wish writers were less afraid of it because it doesn't have to be cheap and unsubtle. It just has to make sense with who the character is.

That's totally what they were going for at the end and I fell hook, line, and sinker.

Love that movie. Cements Sam Raimi as the unofficial third Coen Brother.

I'm one of those people who is spoiled from watching to the entirety of BB on Netflix then keeping up with this show from the beginning in real time. At least BCS doesn't have as many insane cliffhangers. I don't know how people watched BB from week to week, let alone waited between seasons, 'cause it is eminently

Right now he's most famous for playing criminals, ranging from subtle and patient to comically unhinged. I can't wait for him to blow up and vary his resume, because he's got the looks and the charisma to do just about anything he wants. If you've seen any interviews, he seems like just the nicest guy. Though that is

Three Stooges humor, not Looney Toons!
You're thinking of Joe Dante.

Squigglevision is the format of the future, man!

A little on the nose and old school in its tackling an issue head-on? Sure.
Emmy-worthy? ABSOLUTELY.
