@DocSeuss: Radial Menus can work very well on both. Enemy Territory Quake Wars had one- designed for PC originally, still worked great on XBOX. I believe they're still using them quite heavily for Brink.

@peteer02: hates geofencing: It'd be cool to have some kinda surface that seamlessly transitioned between being a monitor and a mirror.

@peteer02: hates geofencing: because your wife won't let you play 40/hrs a week and it's hard to hide a XBOX in the bathroom?

@Phaz: I'm really excited about it as well, but then I like Splash Damage games. I don't hold any hopes that this will be anything other than Enemy Territory 3.

@Diesel: That'll kill it more than LA Noire will. Splash Damage has had some terrible luck with release dates- their last game, ET:Quake Wars, was released within a month of both Team Fortress 2 and Modern Warfare.

@arionfrost: unless, of course, those games are delayed as well...

@Nerf Herder: gah, I knew better but you made me look anyway. I miss betas and tests and demos...

@DexterMoon: I was thinking benzodiazepam- CoD is way more hectic.

@EvolutionKills: OpenGL/DirectX doesn't really make a difference to the shaders and renderer. In fact, on XBOX it's using directX by necessity, while using opengl on PC/MAC and openglES/PS3- all the while looking identical on 4 platforms.

@Habboi: You have a link to that info? Sounds like really old speculative talk- I haven't heard anything definitive about MP yet, except that they were pulling the quakelive team into it.

@RockyRan: RAGE has been in development since before FO3 came out and Borderlands even started development.

@dracosummoner: Yup- recent footage shows it shooting electrical and explosive bolts.

@-MasterDex-: Yep- people paying attention would blithely disregard this as OMG it's STALKER meets MotorStorm... wait, *cleanup on aisle pants please*

@Pill_Hell_Tom: Doom3, which many people enjoyed, came out in 2004. All id IP released since (Quake4/Wolfenstein2k9/ETQW) has been developed by 3rd parties.

@ePrometheus: There just haven't been AAA PC games that target modern pc hardware- they all target 5 yo hardware(consoles). Check out Witcher 2- they've given up on console ports, and so they're free to go wild on the graphics. It looks really damn good.

@jezz.torrent: Total agreement- this is a genre- it precedes two popular games. In fact, it's a pillar of sci-fi/fantasy writing- and the visual style goes back that far as well. Basically, the atomic bomb created this alternate future, and people have been writing/drawing it ever since.

@Son-of-MonsterChalk: The PS3 is just a pain to program for. People always call devs lazy or incapable for not being able to program for the PS3's 'superior' hardware, but that just isn't the case. The PS3 is kinda like a car where they put an electric motor on every wheel- and mechanics are expected to service that

@ValeriaHeart: My friend is normally a shooter champ, no DS1 experience, and he's just scraping by on normal ammo-wise. I figure there's some tricks- also, he's still instinctively shooting for center of mass sometimes, which blows ammo.
