@Son-of-MonsterChalk: I had the same feeling... I don't wanna troll, but PS3 really seems to be getting the buggiest releases.

@Piemonkey: Now that I'm thinking about it, when picking resolutions in the video settings, they did note framerate in addition to width/height- I'm pretty sure the refresh was listed in some cases as 60+.
@Piemonkey: It's not a twitch shooter so it doesn't matter. I'm not going to get into the vagaries of framerate, but Dead Space thrives on sluggish response times- it's what makes it scary. Arguably, that's why it works as an iPhone/Pad game.
I love this is a video game media effects story, just without the video games.
Canabalt
@Piemonkey: Didn't turn it off, mouse lag wasn't terrible. Which is great, because while turning it off in DS1 made the controls bearable, it made for crazy tearing artifacts during flickering lighting.
It's worth noting that, played on the PC, the controls are considerably improved from the original.
@truthtellah: I agree, this feels like a standout- much like Mass Effect 2, same shit, just polished to a mirror finish. Only at the third chapter so far, but it feels like a very special game.
@Shinta: I love demos, and am personally pissed off that companies don't really do them anymore, especially on PC.
@SpectacleG: There is no perfect jump scare- that would defeat the purpose. DS is masterful at pacing out the scares and consistently being unexpected through the whole experience.
@skitzogreg: It's too bad they couldn't balance coop/sp in Lost Planet 2, it's a great game when you've got friends online.
@DukeOfPwn: That does work, but ignores just how fun and satisfying the Javelin is- great for just being all, 'You know what? Center of Mass, and I don't care, you're dead, MF'
@ValeriaHeart: Zero Punctuation had a good point: DS isn't scary; it's STARTLING.
@Skunky: Three words: two stroke road racer. Hell, I don't care how many words there are in that, I want my Yamaha 2 stroke in there.
@arionfrost: Public roads are dangerous as hell, probably not worth it. Get a track bike, take lessons, and go faster and safer on a closed course.
@Skunky: I just did a CTRL-F for 'trophy' just to double check that there was no mention of this game in the article. I'm totally with you- this is a great reason to keep a ps2 around, best motorcycle racing game ever, and I hope against hope that there's a next gen version. (with vintage bikes)
Can someone explain to me why games sold on Steam even need additional DRM?
@Spycrab!: On January 25, 2011, Steam became self aware...
@starwarsgeek2003: please please please
Totally forgot to write-in Starcraft 2.
