Their outlook is totally admirable. I'd like to think I'd give a big chunk of my income to charity if I made as much as they do and had no debt... For now, I can only donate to charities a few times a year, which totals about 1% of my income. I try to make up for donating so little by volunteering once a week, which

The Birds and Psycho are my favorites, hands down.

If I ever have enough money to leave an inheritance to my kids, I might consider doing something like buying a nice house on the coast and setting up a fund to pay its property taxes, bills, and everything for several generations. Then my family would have a permanent place to come together for vacations/family

I commend you for utilizing your username as a disclaimer.

I think bracelets like these aren't really about raising money for a cause, they're about raising "awareness". Which is nice and all, but what exactly is getting the "awareness" here? The bracelets don't have anything on them about prevention or research. Awareness is great if it's pointed at something, like

I think "save second base!" is undoubtedly the worst. Its literal message is that breast cancer is bad because boobs are great to grope.

Yes, god forbid a woman put her own health above a man's wish to see her with natural breasts.

Well, I think it's negative to tell 12-year-old girls that boobies being cute is the reason that breast cancer is bad, but there's also some dubious stuff out there about products like these bracelets having very small portions of the proceeds actually go breast cancer charities.

I personally hate the "I heart boobies" and "save second base" taglines because they imply that people should care about preventing breast cancer because boobs are totally hot, not because it's a devastating disease. That said, this is a ridiculous use of the court's time and the school's money.

I have a very dignified cat named Edgar Allan Paw, and he is constantly mortified when I call him Eggie.

Well, someone was pissed she didn't get an epidural.

only 22% of Republican men think electing more women to Congress sounds like a great idea

Ahh, I missed that disclaimer at the bottom of the article. I still think the article is in poor taste, but as long as the follow-up article isn't "How to Rape and Murder the Person You've Been Following Without Getting Caught"...

Then I guess my question is better asked in terms of why you would write it as "how to follow someone" as opposed to "how to know if you're being followed/what to do"? If that was the aim, it seems odd to approach the article from the point of view of the stalker, not the person being stalked.

I'm curious why lifehacker would post an article about a topic they recognize as a bad thing to do.

DING DING DING

This comment is chock-full of truthiness.

I hope you gave your boyfriend a talking-to, and gave your friend's husband a swift kick in the nuts. An instructive evening for all involved!

Well, they could, but then they'd be purposefully destroying evidence, which is also illegal. And in the case of Macy's, they are already legally required to keep a record of all stops/detentions, as a result of a previous lawsuit.

This sums up how I feel about it. Every scene would have a totally negative subtext.
