Sometimes protecting that secret identity just seems like small potatoes.
even one of Titan’s moons all-star in this collection of new images
As a direct powers comparison, yes, but I mean in terms of tone and theme. Feige has already said Captain Marvel is going to be the most powerful in the MCU. I would like to see the movie lean in and have Danvers be the inspirational, hopeful protector that WB has not been able or inclined to depict.
I enjoy the humour in Marvel’s movies, but I wish that instead of focusing on making Captain Marvel “hilarious” they would it the Superman of the MCU, because lawd knows WB can’t be trusted to do it.
Marvel seems to be very elective with its continuity, to the point where they’re like, “Ah, just pretend that never happened, we don’t need that anymore, here’s some new proprietary features you’ll come to love.”
“This is what happens when you invade Wakanda.”
My understanding is that Tip was upset that a big chunk of the doc was spent on his differences with Phife. For what it’s worth I don’t think enough time was spent on it, because it still comes off as vague to me in watching it.
I have no idea what the fuck a Jon Podhoretz or a Schnippers is.
A Canadian basketball fan, presumably.
Whether you think Byrne’s contributions were the high point or not, Claremont had a fantastic 15 year run in which he had a bunch of high-water arcs, characters evolve over time, subplots bubbling in the background that he didn’t even close out.
Byrne was a small piece of the great run. Cockrum, JRJR, Silvestri, Lee, Davis all made great contributions.
He’s just trying to pay them back at this point
I feel like the “Deadspin Snow Idiots” tag narrowcasts a bit too much, whereas “Deadspin Idiots” could conceivably become a pretty big hub.
snatching my Pharoahe Monch out of the disc drive
I think Feige has actually said that as far as the movies are concerned Coulson remains dead.
I’ll concede that if he saved Oprah Strange would be a household name in the MCU.
I mean sure it’s worthy, but who actually pays attention? Even if you read a news story about some insane surgery that saved someone’s life how often do you retain the surgeon’s name and place them in your bank of these are people I recognize?
I raise my glass of Jerichohol to you sir.
No one knows who Strange is. That’s a trick movies play - “World famous surgeon/scientist/whomever!”
