You actually are dead wrong, the Miata is the best selling sports car of all time so its appeal is much more broad then you think. The Miata has devout enthusiasts, but they aren’t what keeps the Miata profitable.

Displacement by itself is not a good indicator of weight. Compare a LSX engine to anything and realize that this is true. With sky active tech Mazda emphasized efficiency and usable power not peak power. Maybe you could fault them on their engineering goals but to fault their engineering based on HP/liter is like

HP/liter has no meaning outside of a racing class restricted engine displacement.

I agree, peak torque is meaningless in comparing 2 different engines. Peak torque can sometimes signify that the engine makes power over a broader range of the horsepower curve but then its just better to actually look at a curve.

Why do you think there are so many super high mileage Miatas? Because people commute in them so mileage is important. It seems you should follow your logic to conclusion instead of your bias. Mazda has worse technology then a over 20 year old Honda OR peak output numbers weren’t a design goal for the Mazda engineers.

The Miatas engine runs under atkinson cycle, it’s not comparable to an Otto cycle engine of the same displacement. Also as other people have said it’s usable power under the curve and efficiency which were the goals for the motor.

I’m trying to find a reason criticize the vehicle because it isn’t coming to America, but coming up short.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the cargo capacity of the Tesla truck has not been released so we have no idea how it stacks up against these trucks especially since the cargo capacity isn’t even mentioned for these trucks. The gross weight rating of 80,000 lbs is the same for all 18 wheelers in CA.

I didn’t see a picture of the intake valve but I’m happy they are having success. And I didn’t watch the whole video but I’m not sure that a intake valve cleaning was never performed on the motor. My point is that there is no actual evidence that a turbocharged motor has less life then a NA motor. And the new NA

NA direct injection motors have just as much of a problem with carbon deposits. Higher average cylinder pressure doesn’t equate to shorter engine life, look at older diesels. NA motors will have a shorter piston skirt then a turbo motor which wears the the cylinder out faster. More components sure but the GEN V NA

Different departments.

For me you have to give up something to be entitled to the Jeep wave like practicality, ride quality NVH and efficiency that goes along with the Wrangler /CJ. Its more of a wave of relief to know you aren’t the only one juked into owning the most impractical car and truck on sale. The XJ simply has too much luxury and

The RWD stinger would be more fun as shown by all the drifting in the commercials. Who cares about quarter mile times

No it can’t.

First of all fuel economy is not the measure of “technology”. But if you want to go there the E63S actually gets 22 highway which, hmm is exactly the same as the Hellcat Charger and Challenger.

Yeah because we use to have many 700 hp motors that you could daily drive back at the turn of the twentieth century. LMAO indeed!

Lol, I have a Wrangler, its terrible on the road. There was a point when I was passing on a two lane road that I thought to myself that I would lose control if I had to do any emergency maneuver right now. That’s why I “need” a Raptor or TRX.

No one knows how much humans are contributing to climate change. Climate change has always happened will always happen no matter what we do. The disagreement comes from how much it will cost humankind to slow climate change versus living through it. I for one don’t think that the United States should bankrupt its

Yeah can you believe it still has pneumatic tires, I mean they were invented in 1888! I mean the nerve that we still have DOHC cars when the first one came out in 1912. 4 wheels on a car is as old as dirt, why don’t we have something more technological.

Unless you power-shift you will always lose full boost shifting a manual. When you completely let of the throttle shifting your manual the boost is gone and you have to respool once you get back on it. Automatics shift faster without letting completely off the throttle.
