The other benefits of the 5.0 are weight (50 lbs lighter over the standard 3.5L) no intercooler and reduced piping to fail, less heat soak, simpler to work on due to reduced piping and theoretically longer life for an NA motor.
I’d even be happy with the new 5.0L as no cost option even though its less powerful. The new 5.0L just about matches fuel econ of the new (non raptor) 3.5L with the 10 speed so it wouldn’t be a huge performance penalty for the Raptor I think.
