I think de Armas is a good actor. She’s the best part of ‘No Time to Die’.

May contain traces of Ana de Armas.

Thanks for fixing the never ending obfuscation on the AV Club about where to watch what they review.

Netflix: November 4

She did a great ‘Random Roles’ on here earlier this year.

The return of creepy paper!

It was a 31 minute episode (the second shortest of the season).

That’s largely my problem with the episode: it didn’t reintroduce the character. It had him show up, but that’s about it.

one thing i think is fun about this guy is that he wrote Park Chan-wook’s very good gothic horror film Stoker

For people of a certain age, Sunita Mani will always be the girl doing quirky dance moves in the “Turn Down for What” music video.

Michaela Coel is SO talented. I'm glad this show is being reviewed because it already feels like something I'm going to want to read more about and discuss after every episode. So thank you!

I’m a fan of pretty much everything Michelle and Robert King have done. They’re smart writers that generally respect the intelligence of their viewership. (Braindead was criminally ignored!) I wasn’t sure I’d be into this, but they’ve walked a pretty smart tightrope. I’ve found it actually pretty eerie and it sticks

I discovered Holiday a couple years back, and cannot understand why it isn’t talked about as much as Grant’s other films.

It may be my favorite Grant movie, but I’d say that about any of 10 of his films depending on the day.

Here’s how I see Dex’s arc. He comes back because he’s blackmailed, which means he still cares enough about Tracy and her family to want to protect them, but not that he wants to stop the wedding. When he gets there he hasn’t seen her since the divorce and all that bitterness comes right back. That’s why he rips into

When Joe vs... came out, I recall it didn’t do very well so never bothered to watch it until about 6 yrs ago. I loved it, moved me to the core.

I must add to the Joe vs. the Volcano love. One of my all-time favorite films. It’s impossible to come up with a favorite scene in it, but one that I find myself quoting most often is the steamer trunk purchase:

“I have no response to that” is still my go-to line when called on to react to something that I just have no frame of reference for. Usually delivered in a faux-husky voice.

Joe Versus the Volcano is one of my favorite movies, because it’s quirky, off-kilter, scattershot to the point of an actual physical headache, and contains dialogue that makes my soul swoon. Between Moonstruck and Joe Versus the Volcano, Shanley earned my everlasting loyalty.

Same. Now my coworkers know about Drew and read his stuff. My family knows all about him and has watched his Chopped episode with me. I legitimately needed to have people in real life know who he was so I could have someone to talk all of my feeling out with.

Can’t tell you how many text messages I exchanged with friends seriously worrying about the health of a person I have never met and will likely never meet.
