I was thinking more about the “niceness” (read: passive-aggression) and the greater acceptance of social welfare spending (the popularity of which has declined dramatically as ethnic diversity has increased).

Minnesota is basically Canada anyway so there’d be some continuity

Arabella Juniper Torres is her name.

So he was in a gang after all.  The doppelgang.

No shit! I’d love to find an example of a PoC driver involved in a drive-by shooting, bank robbery or home-invasion homicide getting off as lightly as Terrell.

Aiding and Abetting charges (to me) seem to be over applied, though apparently only for Black, Latino and really poor white people.

And that they literally cannot function without proximity to whiteness and patriarchy and power. Like, you move them 25 feet away from them and they become more and more useless, like a Comcast remote separated from its modem.

(“Özil’s defense of the photo-op—“having a picture with President Erdogan wasn’t about politics or elections, it was about me respecting the highest office in my family’s country”—can read as weaselly over here in America, but then again Americans don’t

Damn. And is it just me, or does it look like the hands belong to the same person?

basically the Carl Reiners and Mel Brooks-es of the future,

That really sounds more like a “you win some, you lose some” week to me.
