You know what? Eric McComack's new Netflix show Travelers is actually really good and deserves some coverage on this site.

One thing I'd like to see is rock music make a proper comeback. Rock has been the sole province of sad old white men and frat boys for a decade now. The last wave of new rock bands that had any widespread impact was, what, 2001-2005?
If ever there was a time for new forms of angry, hungry guitar music, it's now.
*shrug* They make a movie with Mila Kunis, Kirsten Bell and Kathryn Hahn, I'm gonna turn up to watch it.
Monkees made #2 on the Rolling Stone readers poll for the year, FWIW.
I guess I'm really just depressed that, yet again, there wasn't any rock music made by young, hungry artists that broke through to the mainstream.
It's not even that though; it's that the story itself is actually a really interesting character-based story about fascism and cults and psychological manipulation.
As usual, I agree with most of the movie and TV picks, and couldn't give two shits about almost all the music listed. Why?
I forgot about Your Name! I just saw it here in Australia, and it is indeed terrific.
I missed Hell Or High Water, The Lobster and Everybody Wants Some.
And La La Land hasn't opened in Australia yet.
I have to say, I was very disappointed by The Handmaiden. It was a wonderful film in and of itself, but as a fan of the book and BBC adaptation, I didn't like that they left out the entire third act, and all the subplots therein, and resolved the main conflict so abruptly - when the melodramatic angsts of the…
Ironically, I think the Netflix model was the reason this show failed to penetrate the cultural consciousness as much as it should have.
Absolutely one of my favourite shows of the decade, and one of the most emotionally affecting viewing experience in recent memory.
Send 2016 Into The Void!
Ugh. That pun really Hurt
I don't recognise half the names on that list, and I try to keep up with all the most popular movies.
Who are Meghan Markle, Jodie Sweetin, and Jenna Dewan Tatum?
It occurs to me - and I'm going out on a limb here, so don't jump down my throat - that Monica Bellucci is really rather attractive. #hottaek
There's a new Japandroids? Crap, I missed that.
Cheers, I will! I like what I've heard from them, but I haven't sat down and given an album a proper listen.
I only discovered Motorpsycho last year and was astonished that a band so awesome could fly under my radar for so long! Reminded me that he is wisest who knows how much he does not know…
I forgot about Cosmograf! I still need to hear the new album. Same with Neal Morse, but then I was late to the party with him, and his catalogue is ridiculously immense.
Popmatters is one of the only websites that gives prog the time of day, but I'm always disappointed at how little discussion there is going on in the…
Have you heard his work with Porcupine Tree? If not, go there without delay. Start with In Absentia. Also, his album Storm Corrosion with Mik Åkerfeldt is a spooky folk-prog throwback.
