I’m not sure they do it to impress people, though? I mean...these are billionaires. Their annual income is in the 10s of billions. I feel like they’re more doing it just because they can. I mean...even at $400 million...that’s a drop in the bucket for these people. They’ll recover that expense in a couple months? Less?

Although I am relieved that a predator is having his day in court and a (likely) lengthy prison sentence is forthcoming...it is still saddening to see how many enablers he had at his employ over the years to serve as tacit accomplices to his crimes. Those accomplices will likely never see a criminal complaint or charge…

Why would you say that? If my worst moments were public, no one - including myself - would care. The point here is that someone with tremendous power and influence took the opportunity to try to get someone with zero power and/or influence to kill themselves...more than once. That is so much more than just about her…

If you made it to 35 without kids...why the eff would you ever consider it going forward? (Parent of 9 little *cough* darlings here) Feel like you’ve slept enough for the rest of your life? Gotten bored of enjoying your food when you eat? Need a stronger dose of humiliation in public situations? Like...I honestly…

I stopped shopping at thrift stores years ago when I noticed that the prices were going up. When a secondhand shirt reached 24.99...I was out.

I think Christianity has demonstrated that it is cancel-proof. There is no revelation (we’ve had them all by now) damning enough for the faithful to take a step back and say maybe the faith is the problem. Ah well...as they say “vita deformis est theatrum”
