I remember watching the movie Little Woods, with Tessa Thompson, a few years ago. One of the characters, a diner waitress who is squatting in a trailer, finds out that she’s pregnant and her pregnancy would cost $8K to carry to term, assuming a vaginal delivery with no complications. She ultimately decides to

One of my spinning buddies is in her early 70s. She’s a former runner (she took up running in her 50s and worked up to marathons) who, as you say, needed something easier on her joints.

Thank you. I’m sorry for yours too.

Exactly. Give it to a food bank. Give it to a family member or friend who was laid off. Donate it to relief organization in TX or Jackson. Or just keep it and shut the fuck up.

If I think about it too often I get even more depressed than I already am. I’m grieving (though the loss was not due to COVID), so I try to practice gratitude.

Every once in a while I think “The previous administration really just straight up did not attempt to solve this crisis. Just didn’t do it.”

I stopped going to spinning classes about a month before I stopped going to the gym (last spinning class was February 2020, last gym visit was March 2020; my gym has a cycling studio), because being in a small windowless room with folks crammed in tightly huffing and puffing struck me as unwise even then. I don’t

I am so tired of America, for real.

Any future opponents just got a lot of great content for their ads.

I’m from Philly and I agree. Shit - there are certain sections of Philly that I was taught to stay away from growing up because “they don’t like us over there.”

Dr. Obeng makes it sound so simple! Glad he was able to step in and save her scalp and some of her hair.

That doesn’t mean it’s going to go anywhere though.

Me too. Like, what does that even mean? Allowed by who? Whom? Whomst allowed thee, Marjorie?

Charlize Theron said she shaved her hair off for Mad Max: Fury Road in part because her hair was damaged from the last press junket she’d done - she’d had to have her hair done every day for however long it was, and all the heat styling and shit damaged it so she used the role as a chance to start fresh with healthy

Yeah, I big chopped and really liked my hair short once I got used to it, but that’s different because that was planned and intentional. (My friend had to cut off all her hair because of a botched braid takedown and she was devastated, although she ended up liking it and keeping it short for a while.)

I assume she’s going to see some loss and damage (even if she gets it unstuck with rubbing alcohol, I would guess rubbing alcohol in the quantities she’ll need to use will damage your hair), and I wonder if her edges are damaged from being pulled back that tightly for a month straight.

Some of her colleagues support this, and I suspect that we will learn that some of them were in on it (the one who gave tours the day of or the day before comes to mind). I don’t know how you go to work alongside people that you know want you dead (same with Cori Bush and that wench Marjorie Taylor Greene).

But I don’t quite know if getting the jab when the jab is available to you, because of happenstance is, too.

My friends with kids all say their kids are acting out much more - lots more sibling fights because their sibling is the only other kid they see, and they’re just sick of them and miss seeing their friends. It’s getting worse in winter because outside time is limited. Kids are also picking up on the stresses their

My friend and her entire family quit them when they were completely impossible to deal with, over months, after her parent passed away.
