I saw Of Mice and Men during the Spring. I remember Leighton being so thin, and with the '30s clothes, she looked like Olive Oyl from Popeye. Chris O'Dowd was the best part of the play, but I'm interested to read Leighton's thoughts on her character.

The room of requirement, obviously.

I have a low-tech timed feeder. My cat is still convinced that I somehow control the feeder, and wakes me up when he's hungry (5:30), and continues to wake me up repeatedly until it goes off (6am). So...nope to this.

Talking to my friends is inappropriate in public? Or I should restrain myself to topics of which you approve? If the latter, please supply an approved list.

When this game first came out, I was describing it during a dinner at a very nice Moroccan restaurant. I just got to the point about having to play a card when the music cut and all anyone in the restaurant heard was me saying 'date rape'. Thus endeth my experience with CAH.

Yay! I'll rewatch Short Poppies and Flight of the Conchords to prepare. Gotta assimilate.

I know. They don't scare me! They're big, but they don't scare me. Just snakes. And cane spiders.

agreed. They are my biggest fear. For me, it's the fact that the king cobras are so fucking big and stand up so tall that they can strike you in the FACE. Nopenopenope. Moving to New Zealand now. Or Ireland. Or Hawaii.

You again.

I think it became more and more common after Beckham started getting really nice tattoos. Broke some taboos, I think. So I think it's been getting more and more common in the last 10-15 years.

Sorry? Not sure I get what you're saying. I was pointing out the things about him that are not obvious if you take how he looks and assume he's a criminal. I was not saying that Christians can't be criminals, or that he's a great person because he's a Christian. I don't care if he's Christian or not; I'm an atheist.

I don't really care if people are into tattoos or not. I just dislike the idea that tattoos = criminal, and think it's a really outdated opinion.

He's a successful person, an athlete, a parent, a devout Christian. So...I think you're projecting a lot of shit onto him just for having tattoos. Felons are not the only ones with tattoos, just fyi. It's 2014 and a big chunk of people under 40 have them.

I guess I should have specified that the more *true things* I learn about him, the more I approve of him.

My bf and I went to see Pineapple Express when it was in theaters. At some point, Franco says he wants to go to a 'hotel, motel, or Holiday Inn'. My bf and I cracked up so loud and no one else laughed at all. Because we were the only ones old enough to remember this song. *sigh* /story

The more I learn of Brian Williams, the more I approve of him.

The Venn diagram here is problematic if you really want an accurate portrayal of poverty. The circles of 'people experiencing poverty' and 'people given a voice by the media' do not intersect often.

Same here. I went to a fancy v. expensive lingerie store to get a fancy fitting. My band and cup size was drastically different. But...they still only had 2 bras that fit me! *sigh*

That's so weird. I have large breasts (normally between DD and DDD, but I'm wearing a 30G right now, so who knows). When I used to get sized at VS (the only place to go in my hometown), they would use their little measuring tape and tell me I was a B cup. And force me to attempt to try on a 32B. Pfft.

I have to hold myself back from correcting people whenever they bring up Marilyn Monroe's size. I am also annoyed by people who say 'a pound of fat weighs the same as a pound of muscle'. Well no shit. The point is that a pound of muscle takes up much less volume than a pound of fat. People have no sense of
