Anecdotal for sure, but I would bet that less than 5% of people in Japan have ever heard of Oprah, and it’s actually probably closer to 1%.  I would imagine that’s probably the same in most of Asia, too.

Why would old lenses be obsolete? Every lens I shoot with regularly is decades old - still take photos I am happy with,  

I work for a fairly large (40+ employees), new company. We have a domain for our email and that is literally it for our internet presence. We’ll grow that up eventually but it’s not necessary for us now as our marketing is solely to people who know who we are and what we do already.  Not that unusual even these days. 

As much as those guys fly, he’d lose that career money pretty quickly trying to fly private all the time.
