It’s only a 2 hour flight away

Um, Japan has apologized many times, and made reparation payments. Not that your criticism of this poster is incorrect, but keep that in mind.

Oh I’d be gone from work in a millisecond. I’d be WORKING because I hate being bored and idle, but certainly not at the office at some company. Volunteer, hobbies, my own business - so many other options!

You think they are actually that self-aware?

Cash is really not king anymore! I mean sure, you can use cash for everything but anywhere but a very small stand or a street stall you can use a credit card or a debit card now. You can certainly use a Pasmo/Suica/Icoca/etc for payment, too.

Huh, my Asus phone supports mobile Suica...

You can get cash from ATMs with international cards everywhere these days. All post offices, all 7-11s, and lately most ATMs in other convenience stores. It’s not like it was.

Whuuu I grew up with Thunderbolt Transmission and can still sing it by heart, and I love it! It’s sooo cheesy but in a good 70s way.

Sorry, but who gets the revenue instead in that case? Gauging by MLB’s profitability, the money is certainly there, and if the high end FAs aren’t receiving their cut who exactly gets to pocket that extra revenue, and why?

I read elsewhere that it’s for other coins, not Bitcoin.

Dancer in the Dark, anyone?

I have a very specific memory of this song - driving down the highway and I lost control of my car due to avoiding a large-ass ladder appearing suddenly in my lane. Spun around completely at speed, ended up facing backwards into traffic, stalled, but still drivable .... and this song on the radio.

Documentarians, LOL. They are stupid, classless fools appealing to tasteless children.

This is 100% wrong. Acoustic Layla is the worst acoustic version of a song.

My mom lives in Texas and has an HOA. I think all the neighborhoods in her area do.

I have an acquaintance in such a situation - he gave his sons some property, everything in his will goes to his second wife. There’s no animosity there, his kids are cool with the arrangement.

Really? Old Japanese people love nothing more than helping people out. Stand around for a while looking like you don’t know what you are doing and someone will more likely than not offer assistance.

Jesus, no

I’m decidedly middle aged and I get pissed when I hear people my age bitching about the state of modern music. There’s TONS of great music being released all the time, and it’s never been easier to find it.

I watched a lot of Nishioka in Japan, and I don’t think any of us Japan fans thought he would be an MLB superstar. I thought he would be average to slightly above, maybe, and certainly not as bad as he was, though.
