Guess the team should have played better if they game mattered so much to them. The bat flip had no effect on the outcome other than making the Twins look like petulant children for bitching about it.

If you don’t want someone to flip their bat when they hit a rocket off your pitch, don’t throw a fat pitch he can hit hit like a rocket.

That’s one thing I like about Japanese houses/apartments. There’s a spot inside the door where you are to take off your shoes and put them in the rack (or line them up facing the door). It”s typically a bit lower than the rest of the floor, and it’s obvious you’re supposed to take off your shoes to go past there.

It’s not hygienic! Even with a doormat you’re tracking in all kinds of crap.

Oh, definitely some sort of foot covering is best. I usually wear socks in the house. I also only have a rug, rest of my house is flooring.

Forget tatami, walking inside at all with shoes on is disgusting. I don’t want all that crap outside tracked all over my nice floors.

Sure. I think of it as Lebanese myself, maybe because that’s the first sort of restaurant where I had it. I can’t think of a time I’ve been in a Greek restaurant without seeing hummus on the menu, though.

Try the math again on that, Dylan.

Why wouldn’t it? Very common Greek dish.

Advocating the murder of innocents, brought to you by “laughter is good for the soul”. Lovely.

Great story.

Uhhh, nothing to write home about? I’m guessing you haven’t driven a Megane RS?

Expressing regret is how apologies are generally made in Japan.

Japan issues these through the police, same as for a normal driver’s license. It’s just a different window at the license center.

They are useful in South America - I had to pay a fine for getting pulled over while driving without one in Brazil.

Eh, getting a Japanese license is pretty easy actually. The written test is a joke, the driving test is a bit harder but not as hard as what a Japanese person has to take.

Yeah, you absolutely, 100% need an IDP to drive in Japan without a Japanese license.

Interestingly enough - yeah, I do. As do most people I know. We’re not pigs.

Emissions DO affect human life - they cause smog, which directly causes illnesses and death. It’s not insignificant just because the human cost is deferred unlike with a faulty airbag or bad tires.

Immigrants to Japan.
