Does the job fairy dole them out? This is a ludicrous premise. Of course you have a choice of where you work. That choice includes all the places that are willing to hire you. If you don’t have the ability to choose whether or not to work for a specific employer, you better call the police as you are being human

20% of their speakers are women. One woman is a keynote speaker.

While the first two make sense, the NFL’s boner for the military is bipartisan paid advertising which while political in the sense that they want military support, has carried over at least 3 administrations and isn’t a candidate specific support.

North Korea didn’t even need good athletes to accomplish this. They just sent out a sister of a dictator and a cheerleading squad and the media went nuts.

What is the marked difference? They do the same jobs.

Yeah, this doesn’t seem nearly as hard as the OP makes it. If you know the rule exists and you know the consequences, whether or not you believe the rule is correct and valid doesn’t negate that you know you broke it.

“If for some reason you are, do you think the organizers’ choices of speakers sends a silent message to the industry that only men have interesting things to say on security?”

As I’m not one of those people, they confuse me as well.

I’m confused. Does representation mean less men for you? Or does it mean that the career field better reflects the population? Additionally, I’ve worked in primarily male fields and been as inspired by male speakers. My point is that I don’t care about your dick or lack of dick as long as you have something worth

It could be that you are the sleaze bag for sexualizing lunch meetings and drinks, no?

Oh, it isn’t hard, it just isn’t an accurate reflection of the industry. I am generally confused why adult women care about the genitals of the people who are giving them interesting information. As someone whose field has a higher ratio of women to men (70/30), I find this laughable as I regularly learn inspiring and

“But shifting the blame back to the industry doesn’t feel like the right response—especially for women who work in security but don’t see themselves reflected in conference lineups.”

“One could make the argument that it acts as a morale/fanaticism boost for radicals seeing the handiwork of other radicals, and that one should not be posting imagery of this type for that reason.”

It only makes sense if you want to only sell to half of the population. Until about a month ago, nobody gave a shit who they shopped next to. As someone who is right of center, I do all of these when I have the opportunity except hunting and fishing (and the associated clothing).

I ignored almost all of what you have said, both times, because I am familiar with the study, but it has literally zero to with my point. The commenter was ascribing something to the OP that didn’t match with what the OP said at all.

“Why does a conglomerate like Vista and a store like Dick’s sell both rifles and bike helmets? Because the outdoor industry is strange like that.”

The point is, they hired you for your internship based on your J School, because phone interviews. You then worked for them writing copy. Then they hired you. So assumptively (and the way you describe it) wrongly they assumed you’d be a good fit based on your internship with them.

Weakness of intellect is you not having the ability to address the argument. The assumption is that we both assume the authoritarian breakdown of liberal (as defined by the enlightenment) society is bad. Unless you consider reigns of terror, failed governments, collusion with the Nazis, failed monarchal restorations,

So you told them you were white in the telephone interview? Because it seems like they gave you an internship based on the school you went to, then hired you based on your internship.
