So it looks like around 12% of truckers are independent. That would be really bad for them.

Good the US citizens deserve the discount. We are already paying out of our asses to fund the military that manages the lion’s share of keeping shipping lanes free and open. We also bear the brunt of securing Europe’s access to the Middle Eastern oil (as we use less and less of it, but still have a strong military

If you structure the bill properly, then it is possible to make the funds never touch the general fund. Granted, congress is unlikely to do that, but it would be a good plan.

This works fine for me as long as the money never touches the general fund and is explicitly put in place for infrastructure repairs. Too often we get a tax hike and it ends up going to something else.

Yep. It is a civil matter (which is why it was handled in civil court). If it was illegal, it would have been a slam dunk case, because when your phone holds the evidence, you are pretty much fucked (in other cases involving crimes via phones).

Shaun White’s an American hero again (for sports). Mel Gibson is back to making movies (for artistic merit). Aziz Ansari will probably have another book deal or Netflix special very soon (f0r comedy genius).

Can some computer wiz just drop some banana peels into the gif.

Memes, the house, the senate, the court, and the executive office. Also, most state governments. I’m not even republican, and that is a silly take.

Dead, unfortunately.

Yep. Especially because if they get to use for the event before they pay, they aren’t going to need it for another 4 years so you aren’t ever seeing that money.

No. I think equating the most deadly political ideology of the 20th century with kindness is ahistorical and dangerous.

“.....but then a lot of bad political arguments are making a horrible comeback.”

“I guess your argument amounts to claiming that the whole dossier is obviously a lie, based on the fact that Democrats paid for it.”

It’s just weird to have so little integrity. You can have a ton of bias based on what you want the end result to be, but when both sides admit it was opposition research, that is a fact that can’t really be disputed and since oppo research is done solely to harm an opponent’s credibility, it is absolutely partisan.

I don’t disagree, but I think the idiots at the FBI would disagree. It still seems like definitely giving them access to the information is slightly worse than almost definitely giving them access to the information.

How so?

That’s also bad, although Israel is an ally while China isn’t or at least doesn’t comport itself as such. I would say both a very worrying.

“the Steele dossier wasn’t a partisan document”

Agreed. I just wanted to be clear that when I said Chinese, I didn’t mean random Chinese people in the US or Americans of Chinese descent.

“In Frank Capra’s Meet John Doe, as just one example, Cooper plays an unemployed man in the depths of the Great Depression who accidentally starts a massive political movement built on simply spreading kindness to your neighbor. Sounds pretty commie to me.”
