No it doesn’t. It says he settled for an undisclosed amount with confidentiality clauses. This could mean he gave her 10k to stop extorting him or a bajillion dollars as a result of his horrible behavior, we don’t know. People settle all the time for things they didn’t do because good legal representation will smartly

While I don’t think the FBI should get a back door, I’d imagine that a Chinese backdoor is more worrisome for the US government than a backdoor they want to control (while they obviously don’t seem to understand the danger of this). It is obvious and smart to not trust the Chinese (not individual Chinese people, but

I think half is a generous lowball.

Hey, we are playing your national anthem and hanging your flag above you in a on a podium that ranks you from best to third best. This has nothing to do with Nationalism or National Pride!

Yeah, but they hate foreigners telling them what they can or can’t do way more.

And now that the polite code words mean no directly, do you think people who would attack a coworker won’t because you’ve changed the words, but kept the same meaning?

Obviously. When I am brutally honest, people call me a dickhead or an asshole. It would be weird to call a large bearded man a bitch. Also, this is still the same rejection. It is a just a code worded rejection. Bad people are going to act like bad people. My suggestion will just help oblivious, but good people.

If it wasn’t a value add, people wouldn’t use it, from either side.

They absolutely bring value. We can argue about whether or not the value is worth it, but providing the payment processing, web service, and convenience to the customer is a value.

Weird how offering delivery means you need a delivery person. Who’d have thought that?

You just add a delivery fee to cover the convenience. Problem solved. All of the seamless restaurants I order from have a minimum and a delivery fee.

Then what is the point of using coded language? Why not just say no means no, maybe later means maybe later, and yes means yes? Also, put out a memo or policy that if someone says no and you retaliate professionally, you get fired. This seems infinitely easier for all parties involved and it doesn’t teach people to be

This is the most infantilizing policy possible. They are literally teaching their workers to be passive aggressive and to not speak or communicate clearly. Sounds like an excellent plan.

Wait, are you seriously trying to speak for most women? Because unless you have some survey data, I have some counter anecdotes. Out of the 10 women that work on my 15 person team. 4 have found their significant others in various other departments in my firm and an additional two have married people from my company.

This seems like a horrible plan as I regularly say no to things at work that I would like to do, but am legitimately busy or have other plans. This absolutely does not mean I don’t want to be included in future plans, but that I had shit to do that day.

I wasn’t alive then, but remember my parents talking about how stupid it was that we didn’t switch and lots of people made a big deal about it, which I relayed in the comments.

This movie is pretty great, but in hindsight, it is a rather weird story about a child dating a grown woman.

What’s the likelihood of finding the victim’s hair, clothes, or ID in that van? 98%? 99%?

A comment talking about Marxism almost being correct really just deserves a bunch of emaciated people standing by a Lada.
