ummm... no.  Kinetic energy is recovered through braking of the rear wheels.  The rear brakes are “drive by wire” so the regenerative braking force (which varies based on the battery charge level) can be balanced with the discs to achieve the desired, constant braking load.

I’m old enough to remember when we all talked about cars. Of course, that was before I was banned because a “child adult” didn’t recognize Reginal Denny.  

Nobody mentioned the Crown Vic frontend/frame swap... Can’t tell if it’s the whole frame but, the little I can see of the rear suspension, it is.  The front suspension is definitely Crown Vic.  Totally changes the discussion.
