OK so this dialogue...is it a translation? Written by someone for whom English is not a first language? I can't think of another explanation. "I hope he will not mess it up."

ETA: I guess I'm mostly wondering...like, why didn't they just write the dialogue in Hungarian? Or was this an ad for us English speakers?

I'm with you. It immediately bothered me until I thought that maybe all of those contrasting feelings (ambivalence) would be so overwhelming that they'd implode into a "meh" feeling (apathy). So that's how I'm dealing with it.

Grammar nerd: Using the word "ambivalent" and then using that header image is the reason why people think ambivalent and apathetic are synonyms!
