Which is far more than “basic” car handling and a good bit faster than most autocross events. I can name several motorsports that are slower than drifting, not to mention that literally any skill you

You go sideways and have fun. That’s the objective. These grassroots level events aren’t a competition, or a race. Drtifting isn’t racing. And a lot of these cars are more properly set up than you’d believe.
