I see enough people "digging for gold" on public transit to know the importance of avoiding contact with most surfaces. A simple rule for me is don't touch my face with my hands until I wash or sanitize them, then it's more difficult to get sick. I don't want to be one of those people who get hit with outbreaks spread

Right mix of protecting units and sacrificing units, and keeps you consentrated on the micromanging the battle instead of production.

I wouldn't take it to heart, Jaffo has a nasty habit of subjectively identifying anyone that has a different opinion than his abductive reasoning as a troll, and then proceeds to troll them by calling them a troll: perhaps a defense mechanism to avoid cognitive dissonance.

Self reflection?

Yup, going bankrupt over an illness is definitely living beyond one's means.

Each year, they get a 2.5% raise and work until they are 73.

Survivorship bias: when the failed stockbroker jumps from high heights.

Warren Buffett does not require you to fellate his image.

I hate it when I board and then I forget to discharge my next weapon volley or forget I'm in an asteroid field. That, or get a four power bar weapon and don't get the chance to use it.

Sometimes you don't get enough upgrades to penetrate three shield bars (5th area?). I loved figuring out strategies for this game (as the designers intended).

Thankfully those weapon systems are segregated ;)

Try out Teleglitch: Die More Edition. It brings ammo conservation to new, painfully frustrating heights.

Ultimately a question that people have to ask themselves at any job, "am I improving."

Even stare outside for five minutes, anything to reset yourself, then get back to the grind.

That's pretty horrible advice that you received. Nothing is harder than finding a "good job" when your in need of "a job." You have no bargaining position when you are unemployed, no value, you are the food that is left on the plate and discarded: if your last company didn't want you, why would anybody else want you.

I know you intended to type "start some small business" (and auto-correct bunked it up) but I couldn't help but read "start some Somali business" like pirating work stationary and whatnot.

This reads like the worst corporate culture treatment I could ever think of. I felt physically ill while reading your story. You were working for a bureaucracy of deviants that lacked any character or redeeming quality. Places like this are soul crushing, they'll never tell you "good job" and will take any obsurd

I'd have to glue mine together and make table legs.
