Every time somebody calls Ocarina of Time "the original," a faerie in a bottle dies of asphyxiation.

When will they learn that good horror and good action are mutually exclusive.

This bundle is one of the best I've seen, and I've gladly purchased every Game Music Bundle so far. It's equivalent to the amazing Humble Bundle that's currently running (which I would buy if I didn't own every single one of the games already). I mean, seriously. Dustforce and Frozen Synapse are two of the

I kinda caught that. I'm not gonna lie, 90% of the purpose of my post was to bitch about bullshit gamebreaking bugs like disappearing save files.

The problem remains twofold. First I have to convince myself to play a game that way, which runs completely counter to the way I want to interact with digital entertainment. Second I have to convince myself that I'm not just going to lose my save again. Once bitten, twice shy.

Can you play it without completing the main game? GFWL ate my save file, so the quality of this might be a moot point for me anyway.

I actually purchased a Dreamcast with two keyboards and Typing of the Dead to feature in a score attack triathlon at my convention-themed birthday party this year. It's been a big hit, and every single person who's played it has walked away grinning. The only reason it's kind of unknown is because they only made

I think part of it is that across media Japanese writing tends to be a bit more on the nose and melodramatic than American writing. Of course there are plenty of exceptions in both directions. But in Japan that kind of telling the viewer/reader/player what the character is thinking instead of showing them is more

Ask and you shall receive. In Hikkikomori Quest you can literally die of shyness and get a game over if you talk to a certain person a certain way.

Kind of. You do want to blend other players' kittens. You are clearly murdering defenseless animals in a horrible and gruesome way. They both revel in their shocking theme, although I'd argue the TB is much more allusive and that you have to bring a lot more to the table to get to a point where it appears shocking.

That is totally fair. The times I've played, we've all been making jokes but it worked because everybody was in on it. Sometimes I think the one guy who's a little too into it skeeves me out just because he's clearly so oblivious to the comfort level of the rest of the table.

Next up: Kickstarter retroactively takes money back from Kittens in a Blender in response to public outcry.

I thought Tanto Cuore was relatively tastefully done. There are only a few illustrations that are risque at all, and those are basically just the frilly panties on the basic Love cards.

Way to pay attention to how Kickstarter works before you put money into it.

You don't have to worry about falling to your death in Street Fighter, or even in Powerstone. There are other ways to make the characters feel unique. I mean, they've already said the Sly Cooper doesn't have a block like the other characters do so you can tell that's a thing that they're thinking about.

Man. People be prudes.

Enh, you pretty much kill guys with smashes only in SSB. The biggest difference here is that the meter is on yourself instead of each enemy. Also: $5 says that you win based on kills instead of winning based on not dying in the default gametype. Meaning that getting OHKO'd feels less shitty because it's helping

No see, you got it backwards. Smash Bros IS no fun because of the fall mechanic. As somebody who likes chaotic partyish 4-player fighting games (Powerstone, reprazent!) but doesn't really like SSB, I'm glad they didn't copy that aspect.

I like how people's bosses don't care if they're chillin on Kotaku but would flip out about a dildo.

ETAs aren't always possible. If you don't know exactly what's wrong, you don't know how long it's going to take to fix it. Some random number they just pull out of their ass wouldn't exactly be useful.
