I'm probably wrong, but I remember an A&E doc saying she was the first choice to replace Kilborne, but she backed out after realizing how much it would impact her personal life. Best I can defend is he had alt-rock, hip-hop, and metal acts back in the day (really, the original Arsenio show was great for music), but… yeah, the fact I overheard a co-worker explaining to another who the hell he was says it all.
