It's honestly a good thing. While yes companies are doing it for their bottom line, it's also a massive reduction in global e-waste.

I have 2 controls, one from launch and one I bought a few months later. Both suffered from drift pretty early on, but after being fixed by Sony I’ve had zero issues since. So maybe just bad luck with the early run models
I enjoy the game more solo. Additional people IMO mean you can easily ignore boss mechanics as they aren't solo focused on you. Teaming up can still be fun, but I don't get the same personal feeling of accomplishment.
Odd, for me it's one of the most engaging titles of the last generation. I've probably put 200+ hours into it if not more and so far the sequel is an upgrade in almost every way. I do play almost entirely solo as the challenge is part of what makes it entertaining for me.
Yes. You’re character progress is saved to battle.net servers so you can continue progression on your platform of choice (but would need to buy the game on each platform of course). This is at least in part why the game has an always online requirement (and to decrease hacking)
Is it possible certainly. But how much back end work needs to go into making it so battle.net can have multiple users on 1 PC. Not being a programmer myself (and I assume the same about you), and specifically not having any idea how battle.net is coded that could be a substantial amount of work for a feature that may b…
I wouldn't say this is bad for the consumer, just because it could be abused by scalpers. It's a good move for the consumer but also there should be methods to limit scalpers, but that's the case regardless and something most industries are really dragging their feet on. Really hoping governments start targeting the…
I’d give it a pass here. It's a discussion board, they added to the discussion. Now all the clueless elders like myself have an explanation. The discussion is better for it.
While I 100% agree that most microtransactions systems are little more than glorified gambling, I don't remotely buy the parents story that they didn't notice these purchases for 3 years. I'm not entirely sure the parent wasn't the one playing and is upset they never received a rare card. Won't be overly upset If they…
Not sure how that matters? You know there’s this thing called the PS4 right? And Sony is far from the only non-western company doing this sort of thing.
Elden rings greatsword is inspired by the sword gutt’s uses during the golden age arc NOT the dragon slayer he obtains afterwards. Though the flavor text is spot on for dragon slayer they are visually two very distinct weapons
They are selling a lot of ps5s. More than the PS4 at this point in it’s life cycle despite the pandemic and supply chain issues. Legit demand and scalpers have just made them hard to acquire for your average person.
I know a lot of people think this is just companies pandering to the west, but these actions send a strong message to Russian citizens that otherwise only get information from state sanctioned broadcast that don’t give them the real story. When a non western country also says, what’s going on is wrong in a way that…
There’s no reason not to jump in the pit. You are at the beginning of the game with no soul...runes to your name. Not only that there’s a item by the overhang above you and the doorway out clearly isn’t going to help you get it.
The camera is truly terrible. The forced portrait is annoying but probably serviceable. The camera on the other hand makes it thoroughly unenjoyable to play, along with the controls.
I you have a maxed fight gauge they typically drop orange gels that sell for 600 each. Pop a happy bottle and reap the rewards
Not sure what you mean by an excuse to grind? CP exist because there is no MP for artes. This prevents you from spamming healing/revies infinitely. Hnoestly much better than some previous iterations where artes required MP and for most of the game you just used 90% normal attacks. Definetly way better than Berseria…
How did Barret become my favorite character. Totally ignored him in the original, but in remake I cannot get enough of his antics.
As long as it’s equipped to a character in the encounter you gain AP for the materia. Revive just takes 5000 to master so it’s a LONG grind. But fear not you’ll get an ap doubling material at some point. That plus hard mode x3 so gain means you’ll get 6 times the AP that you would from a encounter on normal without…
Unfortunately I like the dpad to switch guns. Also this is still a poor implementation. For one the game should be able to track more than one quest objective on the mini map. So annoying to do one quest, leave an area then realize the objective for another quest was where you just were. Honestly I just stopped doing…
