@OkayOctane: The video shows the users having to pull the trigger for every shot, making the weapons semi-automatic. This then prevents them from being assault rifles. BTW, there are thousands of civilian designs based on the AR-15 which spawned the M-16.

@OkayOctane: They're semi-automatic. One pull of the trigger fires one bullet. The "M16" can be any of the thousands of civilian variants of the AR-15 design. Unless capable of being switched to burst or automatic modes, the weapons are not assault rifle.
