I watched the clip with Favreau. They are in production on Fett right now, pre-production on Mando. When Fett production ends they go into Mando production.

So my guess is Mando airs after Fett finishes (within a month?) rather than a year later.

I don’t get this. The way both Ashoka and Bo-Katan were used doesn’t require having seen Clone Wars/Rebels to understand what’s going on. They give you all the info you need within the episodes.

I thought Bill Burr’s character was pretty one-dimensional in his first episode. Look what they did with him. They can expand the characterization.

I read a detailed synopsis months ago and was bummed. It didn’t sing on the page, and it seems it doesn’t sing on screen either.

The fetch quest thing kinda makes sense though. In the Outer Rim, it seems hard currency is in flux and unreliable as to who will accept it. So exchange of services becomes its own currency. Mando trades services for services or information.

I have to constantly ignore real life tactical considerations - like no one hardly ever seeking cover. Or fire lanes, or how Cara says give me cover and they do like none.

Or how fully armored stormtroopers take a small blaster PISTOL at range and go down immediately. Close up fine. Souped up illegal blaster probably.…

When it first started, I was bothered by the disconnected plot-of-the-week stuff. Until I realized that having mostly stand alone episodes was a big part of the intent of the show. Then I just relaxed and took it in. I stopped wanting the show to be something it wasn’t trying to be.

I am from Montana, and saw the movie in a theater in Utah. When the “I’m from Canada.” “Oh, you mean North Montana?” joke happened, I busted a gut in a theater of people slightly chuckling.

That joke still makes me laugh.

The Carano stuff really sucks. She’s fine as an actress, but she’s being bigoted and spreading misinformation. Recast or cut the character loose.

Second thought: the AOC thing is more a misdirect than a comment on AOC. It’s a lot harder to suspect her because of the AOC resemblance. It’s not a comment on progressives or AOC in general.
