Honestly I thought they were going pretty light on the Neuman = AOC thing throughout the season. Like, obviously I saw it, but it wasn’t as heavy handed as I’ve seen elsewhere. And since they gave her a heel turn that makes sense.

“IT WAS ME, BARRY!” and everything that follows from that is hilarious to this day. Reverse Flash being obsessed with Barry is a good hook and I like it.

The show did it so well by showing Homelander had no real childhood. That’s how they’ve explained why he’s so fucked up. And it fits.

Why he has 0 social skills. Why he has to fake acting like how he thinks everyone else acts. Yeah he’s literally a psychopath, but the show implies it’s nurture not nature with him.

Maeve loves Elena and is absolutely terrified of Homelander because he’s been emotionally abusive and physically threatening to her for years.

Hughie being injured clouded her thinking. She wasn’t thinking strategically.

I don’t think so? They were just as white as the other white people living there. It was based on religious stuff. Mormons tended to be pretty insular in the early days wherever they went (getting chased out of places by mobs would do that), which compounded the whole thing.

It’s not uncommon for judges to think they are irreplaceable. That they must continue because they are the best person for the job. They think they can always retire at some point in the future.

The fun thing about Cyril is that while he is competent, he very easily slips into arrogance and ruins it all by himself.

I think it was Reed who said soemthing to the effect of “He does love her, but he doesn’t actually like her.”

Which makes sense to me. And I definitely agree they should keep them apart.

My theory is that all of Stormfront’s anti-Vought rhetoric is pure sleight of hand by Vought. Her fans love her and anything to do with her. Anything Vought does to “appease” her will be just smoke and mirrors. Performative changes to appear to be changing with the times while they continue to roll along making insane…

There’s also a shit ton of luck and timing involved in that too. Plus, Lucas was only dealing with one pretty self-contained movie when working on Empire.
