I know it’s cliche, but I want Maeve and Otis to be together. I think they’d be a fun couple. Sue me.

The New Republic had a policy of regularly moving its current capital among its member worlds. It was currently on Hosnian Prime when Starkiller fired.
I shit you not, this is the fucking stupid explanation they come up with. Can you imagine moving a galactic bureaucracy from planet to planet? It’s fucking nonsense.
Ben was about 10 when Rey was born. So he would have been like 18-20 when her parents left her.
The math does work, barely.
There’s no planet killing superweapon mentioned here. It is therefore immediately better than RoS.
Yeah, but this could be another Obi-Wan —-> Yoda ——> Qui-Gon thing.
There’s actual precedent in the movies themselves.
Just to add - being an early draft this isn’t terrible. Needs some tweaks and what not, but fuck if it doesn’t sound better than the mess we ended up with.
And there is a surprising lack of nonsense fanservice here. Refreshing.
Take out some of that shit - killing her parents especially. It’s just not necessary.
He. Murdered. His. Dad.
And then having to square that with the existence of Qui-Gon?
This thing we’ve never seen before could be fine if done right. Have to try and explain your way around how it wouldn’t invalidate the Rule of Two. Get around that and go nuts. Have him be outside the Rule of Two in some way.
But making this guy somewhat lovecraftian could work. An entity that works on much longer…
This “Tor Valum” character woudl kind of negate the “Rule of Two” thing.... But other than that this sounds waaaaaaay fucking better. And I hate saying that because I think Treverrow is not a good director.
Sith Holocron would have been awesome. I would love to see them bring in the EU stuff - like how the holocron is…
One thing I’d wonder about is that the end of Homecoming implied that Vulture still has some honor in him, not giving up Spidey’s real identity.
So him trying to beat Spider-Man without killing him or letting the other members kill him would be a nice sub-plot.
Wouldn’t this version of Mysterio be functionally useless now that his trick is known?
No mention of all the noms Jojo Rabbit got?
I really enjoyed that movie. Like a lot. So I’m happy to see it get some love.
It’s tough for me because Quentin was the character I identified with the most. Losing him leaves such a hole in the show for me.
And Lucas was heavily involved!
He collaborated with Filoni and they made great music together.
See, I loved the idea, that got fleshed out way more in other stuff, that the Jedi were almost as rotten as the Republic they served. They’d gotten too involved in the Republic’s business. They were a decaying and hidebound group that had lost its way. Qui-Gon is treated as the maverick who does what’s right, the…
I’m imagining the producers literally salivating at the TV drama they can make with that information.
Been looking forward to this very much. Season 1 was fantastic.
I need to see this like I need a nail in the hand.
