I wish I were a robot in a rut.
I wish I were a robot in a rut.
You'd guessed that right. I'm not.
See, I'd just leave the psychic stuff out as nonsense. No magic of any kind in my hard SF aside scientifically justified technological "magic."
Yep, that's what I'm getting at.
Well there several aspects Traveller that seem rather dated to me now.
Well, I just have stylistic issues with it. I prefer my fantasy and science fiction separate. I realize this opinion is not universal.
Which I think we kinda addressed in another comment in this thread.
I prefer to keep my fantasy and science fiction seperate. It's just stylistic thing for me.
Well, I hope you find someone to run it for you.
Actaully if I were to do a hard SF campaign, I was thinking of Eclipse Phase:
Sure they're cool. I just didn't want to structure my fantasy campaign around that base assumption.
Ugh. Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. I remember that one when it first rolled out. I was in high school. Back in those early days, I too fell into the Nightland, Dying Earth, Lord of Light, Book of the Long Sun "techno-magic" trope.
Oh yeah, I totally winced at that huge gaff too.
Well, I really don't see how this is a problem. India's planetologists get lots of good data to do good science with and the world gets to share in that. How is that bad?
Only 400 nucleotides?! Wow, that's tiny! Almost like a prion. That's as brief as a chain letter that reads:
There we go! This is actually the sort of thing I was looking for. Very helpful!
As I said, this is movie not to be overthought.
I have no idea. I'm sure someone here will fill you in.
Plus a billion points for style!
Well honestly, I hope they don't do that. Why compound the error by making it even deeper? If they have that kind of power and competence why are we even a threat at all?
