Well Primer is fun but it has the same problem Trek Next Gen did: technobabble to "credibility wash" (If I can coin that expression) its story. The words make the handwavium sound more credible so it's easier to suspend disbelief.

I'm just saying that when physicists consider the possibility of time travel, and they have, they examine it in a much more rigorous way than the fiction of Dr. Who.
