Disney’s mission in the eighties was to irrevocably fuck up every child on the planet.

Oh wow, yeah, I almost forget about The black Hole. That movie freaked me out too.

The Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Fucking terrifying for a little kid. I’ve read over 100 comments here and nobody has brought this up?

The morph scene from the troll to the dragon was disgusting to me as a kid. Also the dragon had these weird jowls that very much reminded me of my great grandmother.

Now playing

For me it was The Dark Overlord in Howard the Duck

Return to Oz. So many visuals in that movie are unsettling.

The fucking paddle boat scene in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory...

LOL, My youngest granddaughter (13) is not convinced gravity is real. Good thing she’s pretty!

You left out CRITICAL ROLE on amazon prime. Literally crowdfunded by its fans and they payed out waaaay more than the creaters initially were requesting.  This is essentially a whole new franchise( to the small screen) not a reboot, prequal, sequal, based on a book ect. Going to be awesome!

That looks like a REALLY weird autocorrect from my phone, lol

That’s because we only breathe through one nostril at a time, even when we’re healthy. (The nostril that’s stuffed is just the one that happens to be resting at the moment.)

We have people that literally don’t know the Earth orbits the Sun, and think a Magical Man made the world 10,000 years ago. Some of these people are in the government.

  1. The Personal History of David Copperfield

Weird fact that I learned about humans and other vertebrates: The Recurrent Laryngeal Nerve. Apparently, the left nerve leaves the brain, goes down into the chest, loops under the aortic arch, and goes back up into the neck to attach to the left side of the Larynx. This detour adds about 3ft to the nerve in humans.

We get the exact same sports games every single year with tiny tweaks, no one cares.
We get a COD every year with very few tweaks and no one bats an eye lid.

But we get a new Far Cry every few year that has similar aspects but a whole new map and world to explore and you think that’s “Wearing thin”??!!

Ubisoft seems to have fallen prey to the EA problem of stock holders expecting bi/yearly sequels to franchises when the franchises really just need to sleep for longer periods so the teams can actually experiment with fresh ideas.

new IPs over re-treading recent ones. if Nintendo wasn’t involved I expect we’d have had
